Vendor Guidelines for the 2024 Nurturing Our Roots Pow Wow

NRNC requests that all vendors donate one item valued at a minimum of $25 for giveaways. This is a drug- and alcohol-free event, with smoking and vaping permitted only in designated outdoor areas. Vendors must arrive during their scheduled time slot, and food vendors are required to provide a copy of their Safe Food Handling Certificate. All helpers must also be certified.

Vendors should use recyclable or compostable materials for food containers, cups, and utensils, and food vendors must have a valid fire extinguisher on-site. Vendors are responsible for properly disposing of trash at designated sites and must bring their own supplies, including tables, chairs, canopies, and rain gear. NRNC is not liable for personal injury, damage, theft, or loss of equipment, goods, or products.

Fundraising, 50/50 ticket sales, and raffles are strictly prohibited. We take COVID-19 and food safety seriously and ask that vendors prioritize health and safety by regularly sanitizing, wearing gloves, and using hairnets when handling food. There will be no reimbursements due to low sales or weather conditions.

Expectations As a vendor at the 2024 Nurturing Our Roots Pow Wow, hosted by NRNC, we expect respect and proper representation of our community. All vendors must adhere to these guidelines and any additional requests from Meridian Centre. The event will be busy, so take time to observe, learn, and celebrate with the community. Meridian Food Vendor Guidelines: Food vendors must lay a tarp under their truck to prevent oil and grease stains and have their Safe Food Handling Certificate and proof of insurance visible.
